Fantastic park for exploring, hiking, sightseeing, geocaching, fishing, boating. My 96th PA state park. 1 of my favorite parks so far.. top 5.
Lovely park with the best of both worlds, there is a nice quiet creek that runs into Lake Erie. If you walk over the bluff, quite steep if you have trouble walking, there are great views and you get to the mouth of the creek with crashing waves and more driftwood than I've ever seen in one place. Beautiful
One of the better spots to get away from the larger crowds of fisherman like what is at walnut creek. Still a bit crowded but way more room.
This is one of the newer state parks in PA. They have several signs to warn you about ticks, so bring a tick spray. I never encountered any but I might have just been lucky. Very nice if you enjoy long hikes. Its a long hike through some fields to the actual bluffs but most of the hike is flat until you get closer to the lakeshore. Then, depending on which trail you take, it can be hilly. Couple trails are very hilly. If you enjoy long hikes, this is the park for you! Several trails branch off of the main trail from the parking area including one that goes down to Lake Erie and Elk Creek. There are a couple of picnic areas in the wooded areas. No restrooms. Just a parking area. Only reason I give the park 4 stars out of 5 is because, as much as I like the park, I think it would be helpful to have a few benches or seats along the trails so you can rest if needed along your hike. Otherwise, I like the natural and undeveloped landscape and park. Nice little outing not that far from Millcreek Township and Erie.
This is a super fun place for a walk. The trails are slightly hilly and well-maintained. Depending on where you walk there are some great views of Lake Erie. I’ve included a few photos so you have an idea of what the park looks like
This is one of the most amazing places to go for a hike or biking. The trails are perfect for beginner to experienced riders and are still great to go for hike with a dog or friends.
Beautiful!!!! Stunning views. Quiet place to walk and enjoy nature!
One of our favorite parks in the Erie area. Miles of trails up on the bluff to right down on the water. Nearby boat launch on a peaceful creek great for paddling.
